Charlene has spent nearly twenty years working in fine jewellery, with clients who knew exactly what they wanted and clients who arrived with nothing more than a feeling.
That is where she developed her eye, her instinct for what works, and her belief that every piece should start with a proper conversation rather than a glass cabinet.
When she set up on her own near Cambridge, the whole point was to work differently. Fewer clients. More time. No showroom, no sales pressure, and no reason to rush. Just one designer giving one commission the attention it needs.
It means the person sitting across from her is never one of many. The ring you are talking about is the only ring on the table, and the conversation moves at your pace, not a shop's.
And if you are not local to Cambridge, very little changes. Most first consultations happen just as easily over Zoom, WhatsApp, or FaceTime, so distance is never the thing that decides whether your ring gets made.

That is what the first consultation is for. It is free, there is no obligation, and you leave it knowing what is possible and roughly what it will cost, whether or not you decide to go ahead.
Most people arrive unsure. They bring a feeling, a photograph they saved months ago, or simply a sense of what they do not want. By the end of the conversation that feeling has turned into something clear and exciting, and there is never any pressure to decide on the day.
Everything is designed around you, your taste, and your budget. Nothing is pulled from a tray and nothing is off the shelf, because the whole point of a bespoke ring is that it did not exist until it was made for you.

What to Expect When You Work With Charlene.
01 She Starts by Listening
You sit down over a cup of tea and talk through what you are looking for, your style, your lifestyle, how you actually wear jewellery, and what your budget looks like. By the end of that first conversation you will have a clear idea of what is possible.
02 She Will Be Honest With You
If a simpler design would look better, or your budget would go further with a different stone or metal, she will tell you. The aim is always the right ring, not the most expensive one.
03 One Point of Contact
From the first conversation to collecting the finished ring, you deal with Charlene. She designs it, manages every stage, and presents the finished piece herself. You never have to chase anyone or explain what you want twice.
